Reflections has been a staple arts program in many schools for over 50 years. Through the efforts of our Local PTAs, millions of students have found a creative outlet in the areas of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts.

With positive recognition as the focus of this program, rather than competition, students of all ages and abilities can experience the benefits of creative expression and help in finding their own voice in telling their unique story.

Started in 1969 by Mary Lou Anderson, then Colorado PTA President, Reflections has grown to be one of the largest nationwide programs of its kind, with more than 200,000 students participating annually.

What is CHARACTER STRONG & PurposeFull People?

Character Strong is a Social Emotional Learning and Character Development in One. The curriculum and trainings are focused on fostering the Whole Child with vertically-aligned lessons that teach SEL and character, side-by-side.

SEL Competencies: Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness, Relationship Skills, Responsible Decision-Making
Character Development: Patience, Kindness, Honesty, Respect, Selflessness, Forgiveness, Commitment, Humility

COX PTA Scholarship

Cox PTA is sponsoring a $500 scholarship for an NISD graduate and former Cox Elementary Student.

The NEF application provides NISD seniors with the opportunity to apply for dozens of scholarships in one place.

The application is open to all NISD seniors who plan to enroll in an accredited institution in the summer or fall of 2027.

Accredited institutions include private or community college, private or public universities, military academies, and vocational or trade school.
